Extended Schools
Cauldwell Community Extended School involves all schools in the Cauldwell area. Each of the partner schools brings special resources and expertise that you can use through activities organized by the project.
Many of you will have children at one or more of the schools and will know the dedicated staff and helpers that run them.
At present there are a number of activities offered by the partnership for the local community. These include: English Classes, Computer Training, Financial Advice, Family Breakfast Clubs, First Aid Training,
Aquacise, Health and Cooking classes, Youth Football and Community Coffee mornings, Summer School. Holiday Club, The Performing Arts School, DJ Lessons and much more.

Learning Mentors at Cauldwell
A team of Learning Mentors are working with Lower, Middle and Upper Schools as part of the excellence cluster, helping young people overcome barriers to learning.
A learning Mentor works with a young person in school, their family outside school and is the link between all those providing support to a young person and their family.
They aim to increase motivation and engagement with education.
The support given is regular and continuous over one school term in order to break down these barriers to learning.
Work Focuses on:
Attendance/Punctuality
Motivation
Study Skills
Resilience
Home/school Liaison
Emotional Well being
Behaviour Management
Bereavement
Self Esteem
You can find out more information about our work by contacting your child’s School.
